I have had
the honor and privilege of serving the people of my country,
state and
county for many years – beginning
when I volunteered for service with the United States Marine
Corps.
Since that time back in 1967, I have committed
myself to public service. My mission is to be an effective voice
for those individuals whose voices are not heard.
Our quality of life cannot be diminished because government feels it must be
the answer to our concerns. As former President Ronald Reagan stated, “government
is not the answer to our problems, government is the problem”.
Smaller government, lower taxes, a strong economy,
enhanced public safety and quality education must be the cornerstone
for a responsible society. The taxpayer should not be treated
like an ATM for state government, a place to go to every time
it is in need of additional funds.
As your representative in the House of Delegates,
I will work toward enhancing our quality of life without adding
increased taxes. Our liberal leaders need to be shown that
they have an obligation to work for the taxpayer, not against
them.
